A physicist by training, Professor Manfred Bayer was elected to lead TU Dortmund University as its new Rector. He will succeed current Rector Professor Ursula Gather on September 1, 2020. Bayer has been at TU Dortmund University since 2002 when he became Professor of Experimental Physics.
